Landing on Rugby Planet

Greetings super galaxy rugby enthusiasts !

We hope you're all doing well and staying safe. As always, we're excited to share our latest updates on the development of our game. This week has been all about translation and refinement. Our talented team spent all their time to bring our vision to life. Our programmers have been busy translating the blueprints from Unreal to C++ codes, making sure everything is running smoothly and efficiently.

Arne has implemented a spawning system for the different teams and players, he also connected these players to the new enhanced input system. The spawning system will analyze the given properties and spawn players accordingly and add them to an internal player list. Jef worked on the possessing component, allowing the players to pick up the ball from the ground or taking it from a different player and attaching it to the current player.

Meanwhile, our artists have been working their magic, modeling and refining the shaders. We can't wait for you to see the amazing visuals they're creating. Trust us, they're going to blow your mind! Akio started creating the first assets of our game. He put his focus on the field props such as the well known Bouncing Pads in all their variations, the legendary Super Galaxy Rugby Ball a.k.a SFRB and finally the Galactic Goals.

Martijn prototyped many arenas in search of the best from the best arenas that could ever be imagined. This is an essential task since it will largely affect the gameplay and the planning of the following weeks for our art team. His second occupation was refining the shader. Our last artist Jerke fell sick and got some well deserved rest for the week. Today was his birthday. Please wish him a warm and healing birthday!

We know that it can be tough to wait for a game to come out, but we promise that we're doing everything we can to make sure it's worth the wait. So hang in there, keep your eyes peeled, and get ready for some serious gaming goodness.

Until next time, happy gaming!
